  Option 1: Find a friend or family member who does have internet, go round there, and connect through that. Once past the setup stage, you can go back to using it without internet where you live.
  
  Option 2: Get a nanorouter, which will effectively put any Ethernet-only device on WiFi. Then you can use your phone as a hotspot; not just to complete the setup here, but any time it would be useful to have internet on the DN372T.

  I have a similar device on the bedroom DTR-T2100, because although there is an Ethernet connection a couple of feet from it, I can’t make the connection at the router end, as all the ports are already in use.
  
  
  

  You could indeed always buy a new box, but sooner or later, it is going to have the same issue.
  
  With your current box, though, try to use Option 1 first, to make sure if the box is OK again after the reset or not; I’d hate you to take Option 2 and spend money, only to find that the box is fritzed and you are going to need a replacement for it anyway.

  With other boxes, we can help you skip the network check, but with Huawei boxes, due to the vagaries of the way they update their software, doing a factory reset throws away the latest UI version (which is the only one that lets you skip the network check) and so it snookers itself.

  
  

  So unfortunately Roy's suggestions of "take it to a friend" or "buy the cheapest nanorouter possible" are the only ones that will help here.

  As Macca9016 hasn't an internet connection via a router, that raises the possibility that he hasn't a suitable PC to set up the nano router.
