Huawei DN372T
I've just had to do a factory reset on my huawei DN372T as it was refusing to record anything.
Now it won't let me past the setup stage without an internet connection which I haven't got due to cost. I could have connected it via WiFi from using my phone as a hotspot but is hasn't got WiFi built-in.
So can anyone confirm, is it now totally dead & I guess I'll have to buy another used box? This is a used 1 which has been fine until now.
Thanks Guys
Luke

Greetings, and welcome to the Community!
Option 1: Find a friend or family member who does have internet, go round there, and connect through that. Once past the setup stage, you can go back to using it without internet where you live.
Option 2: Get a nanorouter, which will effectively put any Ethernet-only device on WiFi. Then you can use your phone as a hotspot; not just to complete the setup here, but any time it would be useful to have internet on the DN372T.

I have a similar device on the bedroom DTR-T2100, because although there is an Ethernet connection a couple of feet from it, I can’t make the connection at the router end, as all the ports are already in use.
With your current box, though, try to use Option 1 first, to make sure if the box is OK again after the reset or not; I’d hate you to take Option 2 and spend money, only to find that the box is fritzed and you are going to need a replacement for it anyway.
Good thought, but I can’t see where a PC would be needed. Can you explain for me?

(Client Mode, I think).
