I’ve got a pop up message coming up on TV screen every few seconds since putting new batteries into LG magic remote. It’s so annoying, does anyone know how I can stop this please
thanks for your response, I’m new here sorry I posted with wrong details. The pop up says: ‘(BT TV) connection is automatically enabled magic remote is ready for use with device’ it began after I’d put new batteries in. Thanks m
If that message keeps popping up I suggest to reinstall the box within the TV. It should only pop up the once when the magic remote reconnects after a battery change.
A message saying the device is ready, is standard for when the TV is turned on. The message may have changed from my model so if it's only coming up once per TV session then it's possibly normal.
This though is a TV issue and not due to your YouView box.
As it says BT TV, I imagine that this issue is indeed (tenuously) related to YouView 📺
Knowing how LG magic remotes think, I suspect that if you use it to open the BT TV device, or even just that input, it will breathe a sigh of relief, will know its work is done, and not show the message again 😛

Having said that, there are users here who have magic remotes, including myself, so maybe someone can help.
I've not seen any pop up messages myself, but what exactly is the message?
