You asked if @Nyamandhlovu had changed ISP to BT recently ? Yes, I did, but I would point out that I changed to BT and not to BT TV. There is a difference. Does this give BT TV a free ride when they are not paying me for their 'free' advertising ? Also, YouView has a responsibility here as it appears that they undertook this "Update", yet trying to contact them directly to request a reversion to the YouView branding is almost impossible. Frankly, I am unimpressed at the way that these niceties are swept under the carpet. I shall keep asking for my original branding back again. . . .012 March 2021, 4:44PM
StephenYes indeed, I agree, as a retail box user you should have the ability to toggle this off, and it should only be activated for subscribers. But I'm afraid it's been this way since the start in 2012, nothing about the latest update or Home screen. All YouView boxes have three skins/themes in them already, YouView branding, BT branding and TT branding, and they will switch based on which line it detects you on, no update or new software has been pushed to you. Because YV is a joint venture including BT and TT you will find that nobody is really in a rush to allocate time or budget to correcting this "convenient oversight" though.
