I agree, that was my original suggestion for this "hybrid power mode": "1. User chooses a time for the option "Start Eco Mode High at ... 2. User choosed a time for the option "End Eco Mode High at .." At least they've partially implemented the suggestion (eventually)!
Oh one other thing - in my home there was old, poor quality cabling running through the walls of the house. It would have been too difficult, expensive and messy to replace that, so I merely replaced the cable immediately up to the point it disappeared down the wall, and replaced the cable at the other end where it came…
I'm not an expert, so hopefully others can chip in, but I did have this exact same problem when I first got Youview some years ago. Different receivers cope better than others with marginal signals caused by splitting the feed from the aerial - and any box that has more than one tuner requires a strong signal than a TV…
Wow - I suggested this hybrid mode what seems like many years ago - glad it's finally been implemented, Unfortunately I'm on Sky just now. I do still have the Youview box though so will probably cancel Sky and go back to it at some point in the future. I do hope more of our small improvements will appear in future updates.
I've got 3 Huawei boxes it only happens on one box. I'm wondering if there is some corrupt data that is causing it, but don't know if there is a way to reset / possibly rebuild the My-View data like on Sky boxes. Its evident only when playing back not when recording and the box does not crash, there is no black screen.
