When will there be software update for the retail boxes ? The last one we had was in march. As the software is the same for all DTR-T1000, why are retail boxes now appear to being left behind?

In meeting you describe I was also in attendance and it was stated in that meeting by the youview guys that the next couple of updates would just be house keeping updates. And to be fair that what has happened.

16.4.0 was actually the December update, the latest (jan) is 17.2.1

My box also updated today but I appear to have later update as manufacture software is 17.2.1

I had the problem untill the latest software update a couple of weeks ago, however the problem has not happened since. The problem happened if I turned the tv on before youview box, however turning the Tv off and then on again( leaving the youview box on ) cured the problem. Argos exempt from 30 day return only applies to good working items that the buyer has changed there mind. If the item is fauly they will replace no problem.

It would have been nice if BT had made there sport service free for all there Broadband customers via YouView without having to subscribe to BT TV like they have via Sky.

As a test I disconnected my internet from my youview box and then selected channel 900 the box still displayed the error message IPC6023 and locked up. I also noted from the front display that the youview box reconised this channel as internet channel. Therefore this problem has nothing to do with what bt is transmitting…

Even if only a bt test channel it should not lock up the box like this. Users can select this channel in error, box locks up and think there box is faulty.

Before the latest software update I was able to view BT test channel, however since the box updated I get a error message IPC6023 and the box locks up and I have to do a reboot to get the box to do any thing. I have bt infinity and home hub 3

The last update for bt boxes is 14.1, this is version 14.2 therefore it must have a update not in 14.1

This believe or not is quite normal with recording on ch 5, it somthing to do with there epg codes. i have not found any way to solve the problem.

Channel 5 now has accurate recording, has been working for a couple of weeks now. All programes I have recorded on 5 for that period have started on que. not sure if the same appies to 5 * or 5 usa

In my experience with that store they are usually very good , if you believe the box is faulty they will Possibly replace or refund in the first year. However it down to the store manager.
