I retried. It was a long tentative response but it did eventually display after 30+ seconds on the retry. (Subsequent tries just 15 seconds to start).

(Quote) Me too. When trying to launch the app, the screen goes blank then after about 15 seconds it bombs out back to TV channel. Definitely broken.

(Quote) Dont get excited. Its still about 6 seconds - a good 4 seconds too long. And still a full half screen of blue/black dog collectively covering your screen from the top and the bottom when its on. What is actually shortened is the …

Come on guys, this isnt hard to understand. 4 updates of software of my box in the last year. Knowing there are updates due, after leaving many days for the system to sort itself via the automatic updates (and not succeeding) a periodic manual che…

(Quote) ....or it suggests they are still relying on the AUTOMATIC software update to work. It has never worked on my box (3 or 4 software updates since I've owned it). It always says that it has checked 'today' and every day no update is …

FYI (for those still waiting): 2 days ago (16th Nov) my box finally found and updated to 29.27.0. Previous manual software checks done every 2 or 3 days prior were not detecting new updates (and the 'automatic update' feature has never worked anyw…

Hello I was invited to contribute to this specific thread in a 'discussion' about this particular failure (yes, I use the word "failure" as I think it is in respect to handling the live buffer correctly). To be honest, I will reiterate th…

(Quote) Quelle surprise is that you never noticed it before, possibly Not really - I am a rare user of the iPlayer (I watch live or record most things and play from disk). This is why I couldnt be sure it was specific to the Newgen debarcle. On …

+1 https://community.youview.com/youview/topics/-discussion-bt-software-update-28-26-0?topic-reply-list... (I get exactly the same issue along with the 'buffering spinner - T2100, v28.26).

(Quote) has its own and is nothing to do with BT. Neither do 'tiles', '2 hour buffer playback buffer' issues, missing time-select entry playback, software upgrade issues, or anything else anyone reports. Your implication is that unless someone sp…

New observation/annoyance - feedback for youview. (Observers: feel free to keep your objections and snide remarks to yourselves): Environment: Youview box connected directly in to back of router. Smart HD TV connected directly in to back of router…

(Quote) But AAMOI, what's your 'biggest mole'? For me: 1 Time select playback 1 Sort order of displayed recordings (now showing and defaulting to oldest first) 1 TILES!! (yes, they are all labelled '1' for good reason).

(Quote) I for one will be glad when 28.26.0 is irrelevant history and we are discussing 28.35.0 or later, and I am hoping there will be a lot less to complain about. There wont be. 28.35.0 is exactly the same as 28.26 with the single change (the…

(Quote) William, dont forget that getting your upgrade to a T2100 doesnt give you v28.35 - as it is yet to be included in the planned roll outs. So exercising the suggestion against a 10 week impatience doesnt achieve anything (other than a new box…

(Quote) BT have to go through its admin duties before it can release, until the testing is completed to its satisfaction it will not commence rollout An implication that BT do testing. Interesting; because if they do testing they wouldnt have g…

(Quote) There is a known issue with incorrect behaviour when the 'pause/rewind' buffer - the one for the channel you are watching - hits its two hour limit, and has to start throwing away the earliest minutes as the new minutes come in. Seeming…

(Quote) Update: the recording (in part 1) is irrelevant. The program I was watching (the F1 race) has long finished and am now half way through the live broadcast of the successive program and the problem still exists. (When pressing the button t…

Time to write another observation of a fault that I have witnessed in this infested NewGen software a few times bit not yet reported. Scenario: 1, Choose a program that is one for many hours (eg, a Formula 1 GP race) and schedule it to record. No…

(Quote) Nope. Up to yesterday this all looked fine (all recordings had all the correct tiles). So this crazy display has happened today. However, I think I remember seeing a similar report of such crazy disaplys iun the previous 27.x.x. versions …

Feedback for YouView: I hate the tiles anyway. But then this is my RECORDINGS screen right now: (Image) I should complain that they are not all BLACK (which would be preferable if we really must have them). Want a laugh? Take another look: …

(Quote) Well done Roy, you have qualified for the next round. :-) It's true that I am not with BT (or PlusNet) as an ISP. Scott, regarding the Info bar: take a look at the overall depth of the bar (49%) and then take a look at exactly how much of…
