I've had the same experiences with my BT YV box Initial tune of channels got 120 but this could change daily from anything between 35 and 120 channels. Although my TV always received 121 Freeview channels from same aerial, including all HD channels. Recommendation from YV support is the signal strength for for the YV box…

Both manual tune of channel's 22-29 and full auto tune on Freeview TV produces same 121 TV/radio channels, quick count up on the EPG would also confirm 121 different channels. Aerial is band A (not wideband) alternative transmitters are different bands/polarisation and channel numbers so I'm confident no duplicates. Aerial…

Roy I've tried all combinations of connecting the YV via HDMi to the AV amp: With and without the optic cable, swapping between HDMI input 1 & 2. All so far have the same out come no Audio. Will try Michael's suggestion. "YV (currently) recommends HDMI direct to the TV, and optical (to deliver 5.1) to the amp. "

TV has 3 HDMI inputs, so will try your suggestion. Thanks

Just to clarify My AV amp has option selected "HDMI standby pass-through" Only the YouView box fails to have its Audio passed through when AV amp is in standby, if I replace the YouView with my Media Steamer, both this and the Freesat Box have Audio & Video.passed without problem So what is missing from YouView HDMI signal?
-
I've used the optical cable from YouView to the AV amp as my understanding 5.1 surround sound is not supported on HDMI output from the YouView Box, can anybody confirm this?

Had same problem twice now with error message YVM302 Plugged aerial cable direct in to TV: All TV channels available, Reconnected aerial to Youview box same message, did retune, all channels now restored..

I'd like to recommend the EPG interface on the Humax FreeSat box, it has all features requested above (with obvious exception restricted to to view forward) and should be considered a good example…
