Initial impressions can be found here. Still more than happy with this alternative. https://community.youview.com/youview/discussion/7605683/no-series-record The only couple of things I'd add are: i) The T3-R remote control layout is perhaps a bit cumbersome. The pause/play rocker button is particularly fiddly, and the…

In small part, perhaps. And I heard that Manhattan are working on one. Fingers crossed. But yeah, once my box failed to record most serieses (seri?), that was it. Game over, sorry to say :-(
-
Hi Sam, sorry for the delayed response. No, I didn't get anywhere with it. I bailed and bought a Freeview Play recorder. Won't be going back. Regards, Nigel
-
Hi Sam, I reported the same issue a couple of weeks ago, and it's not your transmitter. I'm on Hannington
-
Hi John, Early days, but some differences between T3-R and T2100: T3-R Pros--------------Definitely snappier menu and guide navigation. Less lag than T2100.No subscription channels, since this is a FreeView Play box. I prefer this.Entering a search string is via on-screen keyboard, not 0-9 keys on the remote. Individual…

Hi Sarah, In case you get this message, no need to investigate further. I've splashed out on a Manhattan Freeview Play PVR. Thanks, Nigel
-
Ok, thanks. Same here. I've had about 3 years use from the T2100. £60 so mustn't grumble. But now I'm thinking of buying a Manhattan T3-R.
-
Never mind, I just noticed the other 'official' announcement thread on this topic. Oh dear :-(
-
Humax also have 'HUMAX Live TV for Phone' and 'HUMAX Live TV for Tablet' apps for FVP-4000T and FVP-5000T in the UK. The phone version only gets a score of 2.6 in Google Play, so it's probably rubbish.

Hi Sarah, Where does it describe the fixes from 32.41.0 to 32.42.0 ? I looked but could not find. Thanks, Nigel
-
Hi Tim, Great review, thank you. And very timely, since my T2100 has recently started playing up - it refuses to record anything. Does the Panny support the usual on-demand apps? iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4 and Netflix are the only ones we really ever use. And does it have an RJ-45 port? Wifi is handy, but since I have a wifi…

Hi Sarah, Ok, I've just made 5 SW update attempts, 17:26 today (Friday). I was going to send you a few examples of programmes that fail. Unfortunately I can't seem to set any recordings at all, series or one-shot. Free space is still at around 30%. I also can't delete any of the 4 or 5 scheduled recordings that are already…
-
Hi Sarah, Thanks for digging into this. Everything was working fine until about 3 weeks ago. The box is now running 3.6.168 component and 32.41.0 manufacturer SW, and we have ~35% free space. After being set as a series recording, it behaves exactly as it would for a single program. The R icon is for a single recording (no…

Unfortunately no joy after option 2 either. Nigel
-
John, thanks. I opted for option 4, thinking it was more extreme than option 2. I'll give option 2 a whirl ...
-
I used to have a BT Homehub5 (which I've since replaced with Google Mesh Wifi). Anyway, yes, the default IP address was 192.168.1.254 (although could be changed, I think)
-
Not an expert either, but I did see mention of a trick to retune the YouView box while the aerial is unplugged, just to clear out any weirdness (excuse the technical jargon). Then retune again with the aerial plugged back in.
-
Correction, if you select 'Save as PDF' and also under 'More settings', enable 'Background graphics' then you get the colour coding.
-
Thanks all for your thoughts. Agreed, I also prefer the old version. And when I try to 'print this page' for the detailed results, it loses all the green/orange/red colour coding for the signal strength.
-
Thanks Skip ;) . Makes a lot more sense now.

"You can now skip 10% increments on your recording playback by pressing a number on the keypad. The recording is split into 10 parts so pressing ‘5’ on the keypad will skip playback to 50%, while 3 will skip 30%." Not sure how to interpret this. Does it mean that if you're already half-way through the recording, pressing…

Had this exact issue a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know about the "percussive maintenance". I just replaced the HDD. It's very easy - just swap it out for a new one and then do a factory reset, then it downloads the firmware and you're good to go.
-
Replaced the T2100 HDD, Maintenance Mode 1 Factory Reset, Bob's your uncle. So, decided to stick with this box for now, since my TV is only 1080p anyway.
-
It was a toss-up between T4000 and a FVP-5000T, but the latter was around double the price. Yep, 1TB version, enough to hold a year's worth of garden makeover programs for Mrs Niggle
-
Thanks, tried that, options 1, 2, and 4. 1 didn't help. 2 and 4 failed, in the sense that it refused to do them. I might try replacing the HDD someday, but in the meantime I've bought a £130 DTR-T4000 off Amazon.
-
Before the eco-brigade go into overdrive, I was being facetious. By 'Landfill?' I mean, is there anything to try, to recover normal operation, or is it hosed?
-
Isn't the mobile network essentially the world wide internet? I'm somewhat staggered
-
Ah, I see, *that* advice. Do options 2 and 4 both delete the scheduled recording list? If yes, I think I'll just try to avoid channel 109 for now. The benefit doesn't justify the risk.
