We tried a couple of programmes over the weekend and whilst is may have improved a little (not quite as frequent) we were still getting buffering/dropping out. I do have some powerline adapters I am using - Zyxel 500Mb ones. Internet sync speed is 73Mb. Speed is 34mb download and 15Mb upload on the end on a powerline…
Gone a little quiet on here. For the record I changed to static IP address and it has made no difference. With BBC announcing their great ideas for the next generation iPlayer functionality it would be good to get the current working - even my 3 and 6 year old now complain about the iPlayer "spinning circle"... Phil, If its possible within the box I'm happy to do some diagnostics if it helps find the cause of the problem as just about every programme we watch buffers or stops at some point - and I have a fibre connection so its not bandwidth.. As you say - its incredibly frustrating. Robin
Is anyone taking ownership of this issue and getting it resolved? Seems to me youview should be doing this as its only on their platform that its failing. Is there any sight or hope of a resolution? As its happening every time using iPlayer to myself and others on this thread I'm sure we can run diagnostics if needed.
Just as a follow up, although I have given this example this happens EVERY time I use iPlayer on the YouView platform - usually at least once in a 30 min programme. Every other player seems fine and I have not had this issue - its getting very frustrating to watch anything through iPlayer. Robin
