Hi Daniel - Apologies I'm a little late to this thread (just back from annual leave). Following what the guys have said here, the comment did seem like a misunderstanding that you worked for YouView. I'll go on the record now and say Daniel definitely doesn't work for YouView. We'll make the user aware of this too. It's…

Hi - We do fully understand your feeling on the branding and I do appreciate the prominence of the BT TV Logo isn’t something you’re happy with. I have fed your (and others) feedback internally and will pass this on also and we are paying close attention to all the feedback. The boot up channel should always be the last…

Hi Claire - If you need help hiding the adult channels, see our support site FAQ. We'll be re-introducing an edit channels feature in the guide in a future update.
-
Hi Richard - We’ve always branded the user interface for all YouView boxes depending on the broadband line the box is connected to. Thanks for giving us your feedback on this, we have passed that on internally. We are listening closely to feedback about MyTV and are looking to improve this. We're committed to providing our…

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to feed back. Next Gen YouView was built in close collaboration with our shareholders including BT and TalkTalk. We’ve always branded the user interface for all YouView boxes depending on the broadband line the box is connected to and we’ve passed your feedback to our teams here in the…

Great news, thanks for letting us know

Hi fre55die, thanks for checking. We're running though the logs of our tests and are progressing with the investigation. I'll let you know when we've made more ground.

Hi Roy - I turned on one of the NG boxes on my desk and checked what you've suggested. I have 174 channels with adult channels/category set to show. 163 with the adult channels/category hidden. A difference of 11. Counting the adult channels available in the guide, I have 11. Apologies if I missing something. This feature…

Hi Daniel - We've reviewed these filters and to avoid over-populating the Entertainment section we’ve kept the Entertainment HD channels in the HD category only. Good spot on the Lifetime HD channel, we’ve moved the channel into the HD category. BT ‘Sport’ Showcase, is actually BT Showcase, which showcases what is on BT TV…

***UPDATE*** Hi all - From today, we'll be rolling out this release to more T2000 customers. We'll also start rolling out to Humax Retail T1000 / T1010 boxes.

Hi Roy - I remember your comment from a while back and we've made some updates to the software versions tables and show which version is rolling out: https://support.youview.com/youview-box/software-updates/latest-software-versions

@bob - I appreciate this is a particularly long thread so it can be easy to miss some of our posts. I did respond to everyone here about the feedback we've been receiving around MyTV. I reassure you we are listening closely to feedback not only about MyTV but all the features of Next Gen, good and bad, across our forum,…

Hi Daniel - Thanks for having a look through the filters. We will be reviewing your suggestions in line with our guidelines and seeing if any of these changes are applicable. I'll get back to you when I know more.

Hey Michael - That is quite odd. We've checked the meta data for that entry and the data is correct. The series title should have pulled in as 'Call the Midwife'. This is most likely a case of data corruption when recording the episode. The programme may still play as expected but we won't able to correct that entry for…

@Jim Weir, the Next Gen update isn't currently available for the T1000, unless you are a part of our Trials. Speaking with our call centre, it seems you already tried a Maintenance Mode reset. Can you let me know what option you tried?
-
Hi Daniel, this has been fixed now and Quest +1 is now in factual, Community is also in factual. If you reboot your box you should see that change.
-
northern - We're querying this with BT. Would you mind sending me your email address and name to [email protected]
-
From what we've seen, it requires a technical know how. This isn't something that we officially support David, any attempt to do this is at your own risk. It looks like Maintenance Mode was progressing. What happened after that?
-
Hi Northern, I'll pass this on to the Trials Team to see if they know.
-
Hi MattMan, Could you let us know and we'll look into it:* Box Make/Model * Software Versions * Broadband provider * Programme you tried to play
-
Hi David, Best option is option 2 first. Then failing that try option 3 (this is the one that would delete all recordings also)
-
Hi Bill, Sorry to hear you're having that issue. Could you let me know these extra details and I'll pass this on to our Test Team for analysis:* Box Make/Model * Software Versions * Router Make/Model

Yeah, sorry for the confusion, I meant Main Menu. Some say menu, some say carousel, some (maybe just me) say bar. Thanks for clearing that up guys

Hi northern - You mentioned your box wasn't working. Can you tell me more about what you're experiencing?
-
Hi northern - sorry to hear that, we have a discussion thread for 27.46.0, let's pick it up there.
-
Thanks for spotting Daniel, there can be some latency when making changes to the information. Sky are aware of the accuracy in the tail end of the guide and are paying attention to this. Most of the time they are picking up on the changes that need to be made on their own internally. I can't confirm when each entry will be…

Hi David, sorry to hear you're having this issue. That buzzing sound might be the sound of the hard drive spinning. Either way, it does sound like the boot sequence is functioning correctly. There aren't many steps you can try at this point, but lets see what we can do. First, try a 'soft' reboot. Turn the box on, then…
