(Quote) Apologies, no disrespect intended.

@michellekeegan er, a Michelle Keegan fan, I assume, rather than actually Michelle Keegan?! 😳 I love the fact you use Workout the Wright Way as your screenshot…

Yes! I've done this too. But I found that HD recordings are not playable unfortunately. Have you found the same?

Not as strange as, likewise on an LG Smart TV, my retail YouView box on BT broadband, being named "TalkTalk"!! You can, thankfully rename the names they're given and mine is now "YouView".

(Quote) John,
It depends on the tariff he's on - you can certainly get unlimited mobile data if you pay for it - some are quite 'cheap' (relatively speaking) these days. Like you said before, a film can be a few GB, so if he's plan… -
(Quote) I did say "something like", it wasn't a recommendation! It was actually the first one a search came up with! I agree, jimb's is a great option!

Hi Michaelwood, if I wanted to do this and the 3MobileWifi router didn't have an ethernet output, I would be looking for a wifi extender with an ethernet output instead... eg. one of these, in YOUVIEW MIFI ACCESS Comment by Steve Oliver 18 May 2020, 3:19PM

(Quote) Seems a logical thing to say to me. What are you getting at?!

@Sarah As of today, with no apparent change to the software version, my phone connected. Something MUST have changed at the server end!?? I've tried almost daily since …

Agreed, T2100, Android 10, Galaxy S10, won't connect to my box despite being able to see it. Nothing appears on the screen of the TV. But, also not connecting on an Android 9 tablet. The former is a new phone but the latter used to connect without a…

Have had recent regular failed recordings all on ITV or ITV HD, on 3 different T2100s in both North Wales and Worcester. This is evidently global or at least limited to T2100s or similar. Very unreliable at the moment....! Switching on the box mid r…

(Quote) Me too - exactly the same problem - Tab S3.

If there's no Google Assistant integration I might as well leave now.
-
(Quote) Yes, because the T1000 didn't have the same problem on the CRT via SCART.
-
(Quote) Hi Roy, no, to be clear 😉 that box does have HDMI, it just also has SCART so was capable of helping with the test!
-
(Quote) I will try that as soon as I can but I'm away fot a week at the moment I'm afraid. I'm having to put up with HDMI connections right now! 😊

(Quote) Hi Roy,
My CRT is from about 2003. It's 16:9, a 36" Toshiba that was the largest CRT you could get I think. It has built-in surround sound 5.1 !!
There's no way this is a SCART cable issue. I have tested and the Press … -
Oh give me strength.

(Quote) Ok, well maybe not comment then. I'm the first to report it perhaps? Two different, completely isolated units both with the same issue. The reason it's not reported by others is probably because most people are using HDMI rather than …
-
(Quote) I'm sorry, I don't get the point of your reply. Are you saying that because I'm the only person to report it that it's not an issue?
-
(Quote) Hi Sarah, just to help, I have now tried this on another T2100 using SCART and it was exactly the same - the line stays on after the Press Red disappears. It doesn't disappear after a few seconds like yours. This other box was also on…

Not used it extensively yet, but first opinion is Wow, huge improvement, being able to see booked and recorded programmes in MyTV. FAB! Thank youFinal update. Couldn't get the internet to be accessed so I had to bomb the device.
I took the hard drive out and installed it in an external USB hard drive chassis I had lying around. Connected it to my PC and installed it on Windows usi…Hi Sarah,
Yes, it definitely doesn't time out on mine. I left it for ages this morning. It stayed there for at least 15 minutes and then I had to go to work! I haven't yet had a chance to try the HDMI connection.
The old TV I'…@Sarah well, that's intriguing! I wonder how come it disappears on your SCART connection - it definitely doesn't time out on mine!?
Is the software version o…One more thing - this is via SCART - no idea if it will happen by HDMI but I'll try and check it.(Quote) Lol, no flash - so it couldn't have been me!!
It absolutely disappears if you change channel, or …
