@Rob P This is the actual logic:
"At some point, someone might be using a remote control without a guide button" -
I found this a bit of a shock at first but I think the only big changes are that search has moved to the top and the top level is now vertical. Looking forward to the new features.

Is it possible that you've moved your YV box nearer to the plasma than usual? I know it sounds odd but that has been a problem before.
-
It also tells you when your scheduled recordings have randomly failed so you don't have to bother switching on the yv or tv!

I can't really think of any recent piece of tech that hasn't done something weird like this to me at some point. Maybe my last VCR but that was 30 years ago. . .

During the Oldgen days I spent a while trying to figure out what the youview signal strength meter was telling us. Unlike any other consumer receiver I had seen it appeared to be showing mainly* the channel power measured in dBμV. ie 100% = 100dBμV …

Yes, they are there on Episode 1 of Mrs America.

My wife tried the Macbook route but subtitles only lasted a few minutes then disappeared. They all suddenly appeared at the end of the show. I assume the the roku box is pretty much the same as the nowtv stick with a couple of extra services(?) [laz…

Well this is disappointing. My wife signed up for the Entertainment and Movies passes with the boost. The picture is ... ok. The "Options and Settings" menu should be called "Search On demand and Live" because that's all it does. We stumbled across …

Does the BT Android app work with non-BT boxes? Mine can detect my T2000 but it will not connect.

(Quote) This is what I was getting at. Also can I get 5.1 DD and subs on the retail T2000? And finally, what is a boost exactly? Do I need to do more than just subscribe?

Last time I looked at Now it was in SD, stereo only and there were no subtitles. Has it improved?

(Quote) Interesting point. As the non-paying community is no longer supported then the next announcement must be the end of this forum. So long everyone and thanks for all the fish info.

Wow, I'm not pleased. It's the only way I set the YV to record. It's a nice app too!

I gave watch list another go. There were 4 episodes of The Looming Tower. They all have a 'play' logo and a 'tick' mark on them. I had no idea which ones I had watched (from a screengrab, rather than a description) so had to go through them one at t…

There's more to 4k than the resolution; the colours, the contrast, framerate etc. It also annoys many people by showing the extent of grainy film that wasn't resolved in lower definition. It all depends on the source which can vary immensely which i…

@Roy I thought we were talking about the watch list, not the search function.
btw I just noticed it's called Watch List - Did anyone else find this quite amu… -
I don't understand. Surely if it's something I am watching then it's on a platform that I am subscribed to.
-
I've just started using the Watch List for the first time; It does save some time searching through the iPlayer but, once finished (or accidently pressing a button which stops playback) it dumps me into the BBC app, which is a shame.
Also, if t… -
Is it a Youview box?

If you have the same Panasonic TV as me you have a volume setting for external inputs. Whatever it's set to, try the other setting (I can't remember whether I had to switch "auto" on or off), this made a huge difference to me.

(Quote) This is the hope but still nobody seems to know! Either way it's the frequencies that you are choosing your aerial for. So should someone with signal problems get an aerial with high gain that excludes the frequencies that are destin…

Do you get all other channels ok? My digitaluk prediction is all green except Com8 which is blank but I get breakup on BBCB and Com8 (No signal on Com7).
Bear in mind, this time next year Com7&8 will probably be gone anywayAnything in HD?I think the original photo is ok, just the way it's rendered depending on your screen settings. Mobile is fine.
On my 21:9 screen she has no eyes!
My T2000 just about picked up the two com muxes until the change last year, now they are not there at all due to the (even) lower power at the new frequencies (I have a wideband aerial), with Dave having better quality online my youview box is now a…
