Anyone else have an issue with low power mode? My box doesn't seem to lower down at midnight despite being set to do so.
-
I think it depends on your house wiring. I spent weeks with tplink support (who were very good) trying different beta firmwares to no avail. Turning off mimo with their utility fixed it but I lost a lot of speed which I wasn't prepared to acce…

For me it was the TPLINK 1200AV poweline adapters. I contacted TPLink and they swapped them out for slower AV1000 one without MIMO. It 100% stopped the 25% issue. Somethink with the AV1200 and AV2000 ones doesn't work for Youview...

Yes it's been fine on SD. Just trying HD again for the 1st time in months. So far it's been running iPlayer on 'best quality' for 30mins without issue so fingers crossed something has been changed. I'll report back if the issue reoccurs.
-
Any progress on this? I too have the issue on HD despite having a fast connection.
-
Me too. Maybe I've been lucky but in the last 2 years I've not missed the end of 1 recording until the next gen update and now I've had several clipped recordings.
-
@Ceg I would if I thought it was achievable but I'm not sure it is unfortunately.

Dear oh dear... I just got this update today. Not impressed. The new tiles layout looks like a five year old designed it. When will youview get the message - horizontal descending date tiles don't work. They're not intuitive in the least. Please…

How hard would it be to at least give the option of a list view? Please implement it as a matter of urgency.

Biggest disaster on TV - I agree with the original poster.
-
Youview it's time to roll this back to the previous firmware....
-
Another irritation that pales into insignificance compared to the lack of a recording list view is when landing on the myTV page the focus is on the recording option. I then see the recording I want and intuitively click right. I then find myself …

@sanj can you give any assurance that youview are listening to the criticism of this update? I use the box primarily as a recorder and this functionality seems to have been relegated to a secondary function which is most disappointing. The Mytv p…

Realised it from the 1st minute but it sucks. Why is there a humungous giant tile? It might make a small amount of sense on page 1 but on page 2 onwards it's utterly pointless. And right to left order then down is nonsense. It needs to be a list …

I'm hating this recording tile view more and more as time goes on. I just seem to miss all my recordings and then chance upon them hidden amongst some random tiles! Please please can we get the list view back within the next few weeks before I thr…

Unfortunately the new firmware hasn't solved the 25% Netflix bug for me. It's still unusable. I'm sure we don't hear about the issue so much these days because everyone gave up on youview for Netflix and use another means to access it like I did.
-
When can we expect a fix for the Mytv page? I need the text view back.
-
Well I've been living with this update for 4 days now and I gotta say I'm disliking it more and more for all the reasons mentioned by other posters. It really is a retrograde step. I've gone from a near flawless experience with the old firmware to …

I've reset to defaults and it seems to be back to normal again thankfully. I gotta say I miss the mini TV big style and I HATE the new My TV. Please reinstate list view ASAP.
-
Done that to no avail. It just feels like when Apple do an update too far on older iPhones when the hardware really can't handle it. Navigating the recordings has gone from instantaneous to annoying slow.
-
Not sure why we're having such a different experience as regards performance. The red button and app launch are just as slow as they've ever been (at least they are not worse) but everything else (TV guide, menus) feel like I'm running low on RAM.
-
Wish I hadn't got it. It's a poor experience. It's made my humax DTR t2000 slightly laggy - there's no way it will be a good experience on older hardware. How many clicks to watch a recording!!! And then you get a jumbled matrix of tiles. Can we ha…

The BBC could have used the same bad framerate conversion in the 80s for programs like 'Dallas' or 'Dynasty' but they didn't because they deemed it unacceptable. Why do Youview think it's acceptable now?
-
It's not just panning - cars moving, people walking left to right or right to left. Exactly once a second there's a small judder/tick which once you've noticed drives you nuts so don't look too hard would be my suggestion. My wife doesn't mind it s…

Yip. My chromecast has the option to select 50Hz over HDMI if required which is what youview needs. That way you can leave it on 60Hz for US content and change to 50 Hz for UK stuff = no judder!

It doesn't happen on my Roku box I had to buy to get round the problem or the built in app on my other samsung TV or on Amazon prime video on any of my devices. My understanding is it happens because they force 60fps video down to a 50fps standard.…

If they remove the mini TV guide then my next TV platform won't be youview. I consider it an essential feature. I've seen no TV guide using a transparent background that's not an entirely irritating/useless feature that requires being turned off at …
