I had this problem on the previous version - so had posted new comments on that thread - repeat some of it below:- The first time I noticed this problem was when I watched Rugby league world cup start time 04:30 - i.e. programme record request had woke box out of deep sleep Last weekend my box was updated to…

Hi @Philip Trott - Have you been able to recreate this problem? Note I'm the user who had the MM4 issue on this release - does that have any bearing? https://community.youview.com/youview/discussion/7604107/mm4-has-given-bogus-results#latest The first time I noticed this problem was when I…

Sorry Tim c I didn't read your posting properly I've raised this point previously for me it's all part of clash management Currently the only time you get the option to delete an episode or the whole series is when a recording is active.
-
settings - recordings - confirm delete is this set to on or off?
-
@Sarah - it’s happen again this morning First use of the day a) powered on PVR (which woke TV up) b) from first page tabbed along to MYTV and selected programme from gallery of playbacks (BBC news – Business Briefing) Hey presto – no play / pause bar Put playback in pause and went to check Software…
-
Video sent marke FAO Sarah thanks
-
Just for the record the gap in audio happens in all three modes of watching.TV - live, playback and chase if a feature is provided it should work and yes to comply with English it should be called "hold", rather than pause. @Keith -please see above do you want to add this to your list of bugs?
-
Ok the play / pause bar is not showing again this morning System won't let me attach the video To a posting or a PM @"Philip Trott" is there anyway I can get video out to you
-
Has anybody else observed this? After pausing a playback for a long period (over 30 mins ) when resuming the play bar isn’t displayed and neither is the pause bar, but alas the system reverts back to normal as soon as you leave that recording. I’ve tried to recreate it but failed This has happen twice since…
-
@jonesh - How long would you expect the pause feature on a PVR box to last?
-
@Visionman that a different problem This audio lag problem can be recreated by pausing a programme for approx 60 mins; when play is pressed the picture resumes as you would expect, but there’s no audio for approx. 6 secs. Once the audio starts everything is as normal.

Has MM4 issue also been fixed?
-
My guess - bug fix for MM4 I.e put right what previous version broke
-
Won’t the youview development team know?
-
@CarlF - I’m not up to date on what’s out there, but I’d guess for your mum – you want an easy to use device, rather than a function rich device A few years ago I had a Panasonic Freeview box - it was simple / easy to use – unfortunately I had to replaced it. I naively chose another Panasonic on the assumption…
-
@Carlf You need Freeview not Youview - Humax do both
-
Is that the result of commercial pressure from BT / Talktalk because they want to milk / sweat their assets? How much does that impede the youview team i.e. would updates be developed / released quicker if their target was limited to the new range of devices – e.g. 3 years old? At some point I would expect the…
-
Have Youview issued a schedule of when they will stop providing updates for aged platforms?
-
Just to clarify The original EPG - Had Cricket – “The Ashes” starting at 09:00 AM to 10:30 at approx. 10:30 the EPG was updated The updated EPG had Rugby 09:00 to 09:30 and Cricket 9:30 to 11:00 I had a mid-morning break at about 10:15 sat down to watch some of the cricket highlights and even though the…
-
@visionman thanks for the tip I assume on this occasion:- at 09:00am somebody at BT transmitted the wrong programme – after 30 mins they corrected their error and switched to the correct programme. This meant that the broadcast and EPG were out of sync by 30 mins. Subsequently at 10:30 The EPG was changed…
-
@Grunders & @DaveGrohl You obviously disagree with Youview’s mandate to cater for all, whereby some users need:- a) to be told that the picture has frozen because pause has been pressed b) to be reminder what programme they are watching c) when play is…
-
The key word is “opportunity” – and perhaps the opportunity has been created – but it’s just one piece of the jigsaw. Given the length of time a roll out takes, some component(s) of the distribution infrastructure isn't up to the job; pipes, servers etc Perhaps Youview would like to comment on…
-
@Phil - additional feedback - when the problem first occurred - BBC 6:00 News would not accept a series request. I had to manually set record for the first 7 days – (i.e. for duration of false failed recording message) - The App occasionally shows two scheduled recording requests for a programme – whilst…

Can the broadcaster set a time to live for the Crid? Examples of Crid being carried forward - F1 (Channel 4) After a rest weekend – last w/e ‘s recording was automatically picked up - Aviva Live rugby match coverage (BT sports) – After a rest for the last two weeks, (whilst the Anglo welsh cup was on), this has…
-
@Roy Thanks for the info - i don’t remember previously seeing the “Before you start” sectionr – but I was in a bit of a twizzle - blind panic I suggest that most people using these instructions for the first time would apperciate they were changed:- In the specific device instructions; item 1 should be – Please…
-
Does either the version updates or MM4 reset users settings back to defaults? Just looked at my setting for “Recording” “confirm Delete” is set to off “Auto delete” is set to on – I thought I had reviewed these settings, post NewGen release and I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have set the above…
-
@Phil thanks for the clarification – I was expecting to just let them age out or will that cause me more problems
-
@Matthew - unfortunately Doctor Who has also visited you. Whilst trying to recreate your first problem the Doc visited me – please see details in this posting MM4 has given bogus Results
-
@Phil thanks for the update - but unfortunately the circumvention hasn’t worked for me. As suggested, from the box I disconnected and then from the App re-pairing the mobile to the box - unfortunately that didn’t remove the failed future items. I then tried removing and reinstalling the App, but again…

@Keith thanks for the comprehensive description of the different power states. @Matthew what are your Deep Sleep & Standby settings? BTW in my example of the truncated recording; - “Partially recorded” is stated in the bottom right hand side of the info display.
