I have had the Humax Youview box for many years running under Talktalk subscription. I feel the integration of Sky Channels (incl Sky sports) into the EPG, plus the integrated Apps Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky on Demand and various Players is a major…
-
Are there any more functions being added to the voice control capability?
-
Yes just set it up, easy to do and work fine - look forward to the next set of commands.
-
Nice chat about the basic use of Alexa - which millions use. However has anyone in the forum used this new feature and assessed the levels of commands, integration and usefulness?
-
@robotman - fair point I saw the NowTv in the TT Youview and assumed it offered a full range of content. I have Sky Channels, On Demand and Sky Sports on TT so never needed to use it.
-
@robotman - NowTv has been built into the TalkTalk offering for a long time - both on the Humax and native TT box. I think your BT inclusion may be more of a commercial issue. TT just introduced Amazon Prime to its boxes, although no Amazon on Huma…

Perfect thanks Roy

I have a Youview Humax box thats used for my TT account. It has Netflix and Now included in the Players & Apps. Will I be given an update to include Amazon Prime?
-
They offered the 18 month super fibre BB guaranteeing no price increase, this just feels like away of increasing the package price. I have TT Youview in three rooms (Sky and Sky Sports, plus on-demand, etc..) and was paying £2 discount for multi-ro…

Perfect - thanks

@Roy - your vision of what you would like Youview of offer the customer. You have a tremendous amount of knowledge as input - where would you like to see it go?
-
@Roy just went in they have changed the Now TV offering, it now has all movies type stuff. It did previously give sports but must have been removed - you used to have the 1 day pass, 7 day pass etc....so I guess its only through the Sky Sports opti…
-
@roy Now TV has sport passes. You can also get the sky movies package and all the sky sports with standard TT Sky deals, so overall its feels like a pretty comprehensive package - money no object. Although like a previously stated I get Sky main c…

@roy, Roy on previous comments, did you indicate that Now Tv was not built into Youview? It's been built into mine for a few years. TT also support the BT Sports channels (only SD) and contract via BT. They have most of the Sky stuff and multi-room…

@Roy - interesting signal noise comments. Yes I think the update was not part of it. With no loft or roof I'm stuck with internal Ariel shortcomings. Thanks
-
I turned the ariel away from transmitter and strength and quality are now ok. Must have been too strong for that MUX.
-
My best Humax box - I've moved the ariel and now having more issues on the BBC HD Mux - signal strength 100% and quality 0% and it showing the back signal pop-up. I rebooted the youview box and checked the SQ right away - it was 90% then 0%. I che…

I tend to agree, however I thought an emerging technology trial had just started.

SD quality? not free HD channels, iplayer, Netflix, etc - Sky Sports is significantly better than normal Sky SD. I have multi-room, Sky in three rooms playing different channels for £2 monthly , can BT do this for that cost. Most of Youview channels…

Guys, I have now replaced 3 PLA's for 3 Extenders that I had. Just connected them to the Talktalk Youview boxes and one Humax - all streaming beautifully - Netflix, iPlayer and live sky sports (multicast). Absolutely no pixel issues. Wifi very st…

[email protected], I just used an old wifi TP-LINk extender (now I have the Mesh Velop I had spares) that had an Ethernet out. I reset it then connected to my new Network. I then set it up near one of my Velop nodes and plugged it into my Humax Youview box eth…

Read the responses above which are BT centric. I'm Talktalk and have their modem attached to a Linksys Velop tri-band mesh system was wi-fi is fast 70meg download. My house is old and PLA are only ok (three rooms), my sky sports and iplayer are po…

I have 3 boxes in different rooms, for BBC1HD mux its mainly ss 50% and sq 40% ish. All my ariels are indoor and I've really had to tweak each one to receive basic BBC HD channels, some other channels just don't work. I have one humax box and two s…

Sarah, Only thing I've noticed today, is that the signal strength seems to be less and its popping up weak signa on channels that never had an issue - 101 for example. Anyone else?
-
I had the same problem with Talktalk - I upgraded to fast BB and the problem started. Once TT sent me their new Modem/Router Hub the problem went away. I have Sky Sports in three rooms all running off powerline adaptors.
-
Talktalk say they are having discussions with Amazon, so it may well happen....

Hi, not commented on the Youview Vision before and not as active as some. Software releases with core functional changes - rolled out to the masses, is complex on many levels (technical and user change). This is particularly true in a fast moving, …

Hi, now working ok, would be great if all the players worked like this. However I'm finding the Youview iPlayer starts buffering after 15 mins and is becoming unusable. It seems to lose its thread and I have to come out and back in again. My Sky O…

Hi, may not the right section. However I had a message this morning on my Humax Youview - I think it said press and hold OK to play live programme from the start. I've tried and it doesnt. I can't find any info that this is a feature, which would b…
