Well I have tried everything, but still this continues and it's really annoying me now! never happened before the last software update, so time for a call to BT to be talked through a load of pointless steps I have already done :( Will push for a new box as I am convinced it's that as my Broadband is rock solid!

At last....145 channels hidden but same issue here with the 4K box...can’t update the players and apps.
-
I just got a tweet back about asking for this update and it said, I quote "Hi Dave, we don't have any set dates at present, but rest assured BTTV customers should receive an update soon" So, we "should" receive an update, but no date...time to seriously consider moving back to Sky when my year is up.
-
Are we BT users ever going to get the next update? i am seriously losing faith at the moment!
-
Really! that's not good then, thankfully I have the 4K box, but I feel for people being updated to the new software and then not getting the further improvement?!? Youview not doing themselves any favours there.
-
Any sign of the next update for us BT users?
-
BT arranged the install yes. Not actually them but the payment for it went on my account.
-
Thanks for the update, that's a relief they'll soon be gone :)
-
When are Youview going to remove the channels from the guide that state "Whatever channel has now moved to XYZ"? I now refuse to use the guide at all as it's such a state, I'm using the guide on the BT TV app, much better!
-
What a complete mess this has turned my box into! As we are unable to hide channels my guide is full of useless info I don't care to see! When are we getting the hide channels feature back?
-
This feature needs to come back soon, I am starting to see channels creep back in to my guide due to number changes or actual new channels of no interest to me, I had a total of 191 hidden and had my guide perfect, but each week that passes I get rogue channels adding themselves. 2 of which seem to be dating ones which is…

Who in their right mind will pay that? I moved from Sky in March, was with them for 18 years, most of the time on the top package and I rarely miss it, I am a cricket fan so would have liked that dedicated channel, but why pay that through BT when you can get it all via NowTV for the same price? Madness!
-
A few more HD channels would be good......it's the only thing I miss about Sky
-
Same here, was not that fussed with the new update, but the little (although major) changes are great, and thank you Youview for rolling this out quickly, having come from Sky Q and there "one update every 6 months" that never realy fixed anything anyway, I am happy with my 4K box so far, long may the improvements keep…
-
Ahhh that explains it then, so it's running from channel 1, 2, 3 etc....that's why then as I had previously hidden certain channels and although I thought I'd hidden the ITV SD channels I haven't! so once this update gets the hide/unhide feature back I'll unhide the SD channels to have that showing BBC1, BBC2, etc Many…

You know when you first turn the box on and it shows the menu with Guide, MyTV etc, and underneath there are tiles picking what's currently on from certain channels....Is there anyway to change those channels it decides to pick for you? All mine ever show are ITV2, ITV3, Pick, and BBC1....granted I watch BBC1, but i…

Has anyone else noticed a problem with the BT 4K box with regards to the sound settings section? Twice now I have gone in to the "Picture and Sound" tile in settings only to have part of it missing? I get the option to change resolution and HDMI sound only? all other settings don't show, so the sound delay etc....It's…
-
Well, my 4K box updated last night, and I honestly don't mind it so far, and having spent 12 months with SkyQ I can say without doubt it's far better than that! I can see a few things that seem to have been rushed, the MyTV section for one, not the best, but again not the worst I have seen. For me the one thing that annoys…

I never had Sky's 4K sport as I refused to pay £27.50 a month for sport, but as I moved to BT Broadband I now get BT's sports channels for free and must admit what I have watched on the 4K sports channel has even been commented on by the other half saying how good it looks, and she really isnt interested in stuff like that…
-
Ah I didn't know that about the output thing, that make sense....that's my "You learn something new everyday" thing for today :) thanks
-
That's a good read.....agree with the Netflix app on BT TV, not that good, and the 4K pic is a lot softer than the one my Samsung TV inbuilt app gives me. As someone who lived with Sky Q from launch, I totally disagree with them saying that Sky was the "runaway" winner! I found Q unreliable, with a cumbersome UI, and 4K…

Thanks for the answer Daniel, I am actually torn between wanting it and the negative feedback....I have just come from Sky Q for the past year, and I really thought that was awful so keep on telling myself it can't be worse than that! although having had my DRT-T4000 box for 3 weeks now, it's not crashed once! which…
-
Oh no :( I check my box every morning and so far have had no update so I thought I'd got away with it! Are you with BT Daniel?
-
That's just it though, I have a few 4K blu-rays and the quality is outstanding, and again was another reason I dumped Sky Q as side by side (I used The Martian as a test) the difference was beyond obvious from the disc to Sky.

You and me both, when I left Sky I did say one of the main reasons was poor 4K content, only to be told by the adviser that "We have never said we broadcast in 4K, only UHD" :) that made me chuckle.....as for on demand content, I watched the series Mars in UHD and each hour long episode was only about an 8GB download, and…
-
and as an owner of Q for the last 12 months, and now no longer a Q user, I can say it was poor to say the least with regards to 4K stuff. Not only was there a real lack of content, unless you paid for Sky Sports, the quality was questionable. I full 2 hour movie was only a 15GB download, and I can honestly say was only…

I had my BT changover yesterday! Was with Sky for 18 years but enough was enough :) I have the 4K box and I still seem to have the old Youview menus. I came from Sky Q which I thought was awful, and was one of the reasons I moved, but my new box says no update available? forgive the newbie question but are these boxes…
