@Cherie You can turn subtitles on or off when watching recordings in the same way as live TV.
-
@ianb perhaps this isn't simply a software issue. Not all boxes are affected (mine is OK). Maybe there is a hardware element, so why not ask BT for a new box?
-
Hi @Rohit I don't think that the subtitles setting is persistent between live TV and iPlayer. (BT Pro box).
-
Indeed. I wonder how many people would want to watch one of these FAST channels. There's nothing that appeals to me. Maybe you could put in a request for what you refer to as HUTH @Roy 😂
-
@Roy I presume that you want to have the FAST channels available so that you can watch programmes such as Love Island as a continuous stream 😝
-
@Rohit can you control the app's icon? Currently this is a black square with just "ITV" on it - not the bright yellow ITVX logo. (Most people wouldn't notice that the app had changed.)
-
I also would like to see live TV available as this would allow me to restart live programmes. (This is something I use a great deal with iPlayer.)
-
@zulu17 good points. I also can't figure out how to turn off "Data Collection". It's also rather strange that the YouView app thinks that giving you this option is important but only if you stumble across it in the Live TV section of the settings 😕
-
This article mentions YouView... https://www.broadbandtvnews.com/2022/12/16/accedo-supporting-itvx-streaming-launch/

Due to various edits this thread is now almost impossible to understand, so here's a reconstuction: 1) rbannocks: Is the PBS America app going to be on Youview. Its already on Freeview play. 2) kodikid:Checked on the PBS site and it gives a current list...all the usual suspects are there (roku, firestick etc)It mentions…

@kodikid read it again. https://www.cordbusters.co.uk/freeview-play-new-channel-pbs-player/ And you might like to apologise to @rbannocks for the sarcastic comment - the one that you've now edited out.

:)
-
Thanks for that @BillyM - very interesting. :)

Wow again!

Wow!
-
An impressive reconstruction of the crime scene. :p
-
Sorry @KlausVinza that obviously wouldn't make sense to you. It's just that my distinguished colleague's answer to a problem such as yours is always a recommendation to buy an extra device. That doesn't solve your problem. Maybe someone else here might be able to help.
-
I'm feeling a sense of déjà vu here.
-
Still there on my box.
-
@zulu17 yes it's just now and next. But it does ignore hidden channels.
-
Yes it's obviously complete nonsense. https://www.techhive.com/article/583909/best-bias-lighting.html

A charming narrative @Roy 🙂
-
@redchiz I think you'll find that writing "(sic)" is pretty much by definition breaking the forum rules. But I suppose that in the same way so is this post.
-
You mean this from two days ago: https://www.techradar.com/news/breaking-is-netflix-about-to-buy-roku
-
I think I suggested doing a search for "SAMUEL" I'm guessing that you haven't taken the time to do that. This person is not someone that we should treat with respect or sensitivity. There has been A LOT of **** in the past.
-
@kodikid what on earth is this about?
-
He's been banned.
-
That is such nonsense that it makes me think that the entire post is a fantasy.
-
As a lighthearted aside, I've only just seen @Stephen's post on @Roy's wall: "Hi Roy, let me just tell you about this top secret project we're just about to la... OOP this is public!!" :)
-
Before you make a grand statement such as this try searching this forum for "Samuel". There are 13 pages of results. Ask yourself why the later pages are blank. Read some of the conversations. Since 2013 there have been posts by someone using different names. Many of their posts are repetitive, argumentative,…
