in manchester here, similar problem, lost at least 20 channels including all BBC, despite retuning it over and over (literally every 10 minutes all day yesterday and again today).
with no option to manually retune the box i have no idea what is causing this.

Hello All, we are sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue.
Digital UK has made some changes in the North West region of England which could have caused channels to disappear and required a retune.
You can find information about these changes of Digital UK's website http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/mytvregion...

As this now states these changes have been completed I suggest to retune again and the channels should appear.

Please let us know if this has worked.

Hello All, if you are still experiencing issues please have a look at Digital UK's Planned Engineering website for further information in your region.
http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/help_and_a...

However, if you are having issues but live in an area that is not affected by engineering works please perform a retune. If that still does not bring back all channels you should receive, I would suggest to contact an agent to further look into this. You can find our contact details here as well as the contact details for BT and TalkTalk http://www.youview.com/support/kb/use...

I've been on the ofcom website and it does seem that the beeb are no responsible for reception issues. The link is below. Press no and leave a comment. People power.

No apparently the BBC are responsible for chasing signal issues according to the ofcom website. You can have a look yourself but I'm just trying to save you time. ;)

Thanks, I did have a look on the Ofcom site and it took me to this:
The BBC is responsible for investigating complaints of interference to domestic radio and television reception. The BBC’s diagnostic webform will provide you with more information and enable you to ask the BBC to investigate the problem.
If, following the investigation by the BBC, there is evidence of interference caused by something outside your control and which is unlawful, the BBC may refer your case back to Ofcom for possible enforcement action.

http://ask.ofcom.org.uk/help/televisi...

I interpret this as meaning that while the BBC is responsible for investigating issues, responsibility for enforcement remains with Ofcom - and isn't relevant in this case anyway since no one is doing anything illegal.

Edit: News to me - it seems the BBC has set up a dedicated website for interference/reception issues:

https://www.radioandtvhelp.co.uk/inte...

This website has a "Diagnostic Tool" which I experimented with, putting in a postcode in the Winter Hill area. It eventually produced the following message:
Transmitter Problems

Technical teams are currently trying to resolve a fault at your local transmitter. Please re-visit the site at regular intervals and enter your postcode into the Transmitter Checker, to see if the issue has been resolved.

If this fault is an ongoing issue, we will put further information and guidance on the BBC Reception website at http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception or in the Latest News section on our home page.

I advise anyone having reception problems after engineering works have taken place on your transmitter, to advise DigitalUK through their contact form. If they aren't aware of problems they can't fix them!

http://help.digitaluk.co.uk/display/4...

Make sure you select TV Reception from the subject list so it goes to the correct department.

Miner, have you tried deleting all channels before rescanning? If you pull out the aerial lead and retune, getting of course zero channels, then you can plug it back in and do a complete retune. Sometimes this has worked for me in the past.
